Yantras are geometric drawings that symbolize mantras or some Hindu deity. These geometric shapes can be used in conjunction with mantras to enhance this practice, to invoke the Deity or his influence or energy.
Looking at a Yantra is a practice that is used in tantric practices or rituals. The yogi can come to identify with the geometric figure, to the level of not differentiating the thought of the Yantra, to enter a state of no mind.
