Definition of Tripura:
From an etymological point of view <<tri>> means three and <<pure>> means city or citadel. In this way it can be translated as the three citadels. They are associated with the three bodies of the human being: the physical, astral and causal body.
On the other hand Tripura meaning three citadels, the great architect Masayura built great cities of prosperity, power and dominion, due to his impious nature, the cities of Maya were destroyed by Shiva.
Tripura is a name that is mentioned in the Mahābhārata, it represents one of the most used proper names for people and places. An example of this is that of a state of the Republic of India called Tripura.
