In fact, the Eastern spiritual tradition affirms that the power possessed by the Feminine Principle at the cosmic level has the extraordinary ability to block, stop or immobilize any activity or manifestation.
This is the main aspect manifested by the Great Cosmic Wisdom, Bagalamukhi, who represents the universal hypnotic power of the Supreme Divine Power (Shakti).
Etymologically, Bagala means “rope” or “rein” and Mukhi means “face” or “image”. Therefore, Bagalamukhi is the Goddess whose face has the formidable power (through subtle radiation from her) to control or rule over any situation or manifestation.

Basically, the ultimate “weapon” that annihilates any conflict and any confusion is the “weapon” of spiritual knowledge.
In the Hindu tradition this “weapon” is called “the weapon of Brahma“ (Brahmastra).
It is the same tradition that affirms that the highest form of manifestation of Brahmastra is represented by the answer to the question “Who am I really?” (which refers to the eternal and immutable essence of the Supreme Being, the Atman).

The power of Chinnamasta that differentiates it from Bagalamukhi we know from the previous articles; confers the power to see the truth beyond any appearance (through direct perception). Instead Bagalamukhi confers the power to instantly stop any manifestation through the force of the Divine Logos.

5.-Stambhana, the state of stopping
The Great Goddess Bagalamukhi represents the “Divine judgment” on the evil actions of man. She also represents the extraordinary power to focus one’s attention and thus eliminate any possible confusion.
Different yogic texts and manuscripts emphasize the tremendous power of her to induce a state of arrest, a completely “paralyzing” state, of any type of action.
Stopping an action is called Stambhana (in Sanskrit). It refers, on an outer and superficial level, to the power to instantly stop what attacks us; especially, by making them unable to speak further (mental speech).
On a deeper inner level, this power refers to the ability to perfectly control our thoughts (and energy).
Therefore, the Great Cosmic Wisdom Bagalamukhi can grant us, through its overwhelming grace, two great aspects:
The first aspect is complete control over all our actions.
The second, the power to stop any action at will.
Actually, this power comes from becoming aware (at least partially) of our divine nature, which is the Supreme Being (Atman, from which we are not separate).
We can carry out this process gradually, revealing our true Self. It is achieved through attentive and focused observation of our daily activities, immediately stopping those that hinder our spiritual evolution.

Bagalamukhi turns speech into silence, ignorance into knowledge, lack into abundance, defeat into victory.
