Soma Definition:
Soma is a god who is associated with the moon and its female aspect. It is also responsible for various aspects of life such as the supervision of religious acts.
On the other hand, this god is also linked to pleasure. This divinity rules over a plant from which it is believed that the drink that the gods ingest is obtained, also called Soma.
Soma is believed to be a nectar consumed by the gods. There are different myths that relate Soma to a drink: one of them tells us that the god Indra, before the battle with the dragon Vritra, drank from a river of Soma, and acquired the necessary strength to defeat him.
