Definition of Shiva:
Shiva is one of the gods of the Trimurti, in which he plays the role of the god who destroys and renews the universe, along with Brahma (Creator God) and Vishnu (Conservative God). Within Shivaism, Shiva is considered a supreme God.
Shiva is depicted as a homeowner with his wife, Parvati, and two sons, Ganesha and Karttikeya. Shiva has many benevolent forms as well as fearful ones.
