Definition of “Rama”:
According to Hinduism, Rama was the seventh of the avatars of the god Vishnu and was born in India to defeat the demon Ravana. He was the son of one of the wives of King Dasharatha, who performed a sacrifice to have offspring, resulting in the birth of Rama, and three other sons by his different wives.
Rama was banished (due to a plan by his stepmother) along with his wife Sita for 14 years to the forest. During her stay in the forest, the demon Ravana kidnapped Sita and took her to his palace.
