Definition of Dhyana:
Dhyana is a Hindu concept that encompasses the concept of going into deep meditation , detaching from the mind, body and the concept of “I” (or ego).
About the sixth century before Christ is when meditation became popular, and when the concept of Dhyana was conceived, where deep meditation was identified as the means to reach enlightenment and transcend the ego, recognizing itself as a unique, indivisible, eternal Consciousness, never altered.
